Firmware update to V7.20 for Nokia C3-00

Nokia today released a new firmware update for the Nokia C3-00 – version V7.20 which brings minor performance improvements.

The update is currently available Over The Air (OTA) now and via the Nokia Software Updater software.

Changelog:

Improved Facebook functionality

Release also comes with the in-device user guide

Performance improvements

Remember that although the Nokia C3 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), it’s always recommended that you backup your data before you update your device with the new firmware.

If your device is not updating to the new firmware, don’t despair, as it may take some time for the new firmware to be available in your region. So once you have updated the firmware, please let us know via your comments below what your thoughts are on this new release.

If your device is not updating to the new firmware, don’t despair, as it may take some time for the new firmware to be available in your region. Is your Nokia Operator branded, by any chance??

Recheck your settings in the Facebook app, could have gone back to default with the update. Happens sometimes.

I updated my phone to v7.20. When I connect it to my pc I found the name has changed to some Chinese subscript. I am not able to change this.I also have the issue of having 2 community icons in the menu. I am having issues with java apps that I download using the phone. they all give me application error. they only install when I download them from the pc and put them in the microsd card. Please help!!

Just change the go to Menu-Settings-Phone–> Language Settings and Select English. Problem solved ( i hope so ) ….

I updated my phone on 14 Jan 2011 to V 7.20, my phone name has change to some Chinese or blocks kind of letters, and I have found two communities icon in my device , pls help.

Just today i updated my phone to this latest version. Right after the update its asking for a password to access the memory card.I have heard that this is a common issue.I have not backed up my data before update.What should i do now….please help….i am using nokia c3.

Today I just updated my for with new updates firmware v7… everything is working good minor improvement less hanging problem…. but the only problem is my old software are not working like nimbuzz, my games which I have downloaded from other website “note” (Not default games they working)…. I have installed nimbuzz again but its not working please if anybody knows how to solve this problem do let me know…..

update your firmware. if problem exist either your wifi source is rejected your mobile or it’s may a secure wifi connection. try to reset the connection.

I cant access the chat part of my phone…my version is V7.20. and I want to access yahoo messenger…why cant I access it?
It says “could not connect to the network. Check your phone’s connection setting and try again” though I’m surely connected to our wifi. What can I do?

set internet connection type always ask.. it’s ask you every time when you try to connect every network or web-pages.. select either wifi or GPRS. in this condition you may know by which type of connection i am connecting through network.

I face the same problem. Do as below.1. Take backup of all you data using Nokia Pc Suite or OVI2. Resotre your phone to its factory default settings.3. Activate profile General.4. Connect your USB cable directly to your PC.5. Start Updating using NOkia software updater.I tried many times but didnot succeded untill i did the STEP 2. But after update i didnt feel much difference perhaps my community software stopped working.Shujaat

I would to share some of the few problem of the v7.20
1. it has 2 communities applications
2. I can’t connect to OVI store application using GPRS connection but I tried connecting it with WIFI and it’s working well.
3. with v.7.20, they adjusted the mic of the phone to lower level. I noticed it when I recorded a video. for me the older version is better because the MIC is working louder than v.7.20. (It’s actually no adjustment for mic level when you’re going to record a video.)
4. @ raney–got the same problem with you but I managed to fix it. after I updated my fon to v.7.20 the applications or games are not working. what I’d done is I fully restored my fon to it’s default settings using restore factory setting. (note: back-up your important files before going into process or restoring ur fon)

I have same problems as you. My app and games not working with fw 7.20. Even games and app from Ovi also not working with reason \java language not found\

Try doing a hard reset and see if the situation normalises – seems you are sitting on a lot of temp files. Let me know how it goes.

i’ve been using my mobile c3 for less than a month. and had problem using chat in msg. like if i eclick it, it wouldn’t function. my ovistore icon in main menu is also gone. all the games and themes i downloaded was gone. i already restore factory diffult setting but still no changes. please help me what do.

I had all of my 12 applications on my Nokia c3 and one day I dropped it then 4 of my applications weren’t there and now it’s been a few months sense I have thought about doing something about it so I reset the settings and it’s still missing 4 applications
