Firmware update V501.21.001 for the Nokia E71 RM357 now available

The latest Nokia device to get a firmware update recently is the Nokia E71 RM357 which was updated from version V500.21.009 -the latest version V501.21.001. An minor update which addresses some performance enhancements and small bug fixes.

The update is currently available Over The Air (OTA) now and via the Nokia Software Updater software.

Here are some of the changes to expect in this update:

Official Changelog:

  • Calendar/Clock – Islas Malvinas name changed to Mid-Atlantic in LTA variants
  • Backup and Restore – Fixed the “Contact Retailer” backup and restore issue to recover to Active Idle settings

    Remember that although the Nokia E71 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), it is always recommended that you backup your data before you update your device with the new firmware.
