Nokia has been working closely with Foursquare for several months now to deliver a unique foursquare experience to Nokia Symbian device owners and two weeks ago we saw their first official version for 3.2, 5.0 Nokia based smartphones released on Nokia’s Ovi Store. As most of you might already know, Foursquare is a location-based social network, where users check in to collect rewards such as points, badges and other offers.
It also helps you find new ways to explore the world around you. See where your friends are, learn about the places they frequent, keep track of all the things you want to do and learn about new things to experience from your friends!
Now Foursquare have released their latest version that is also compatible with the new family of Symbian^3 devices. In addition to all the foursquare features you already know and love, you now get a new home screen widget, which displays an always-present snapshot of your friends’ recent check-ins and makes the check-in experience even faster.
Check out the following video demoing the application which was filmed on an N8 by Pino from the Ovi Blog at the recent Nokia World 2010 event in London:
So if you have a 3.2, 5.0, or Symbian^3 based Nokia smartphone, go download your copy for free, and stay tuned… because they’re working with Nokia on some other cool stuff, too.
