For some time now Nokia have been testing out their new Push Snowboarding kits with exceptional results – basically what these kits (Nokia N8 device and external sensors) do is provide real time insight data into what’s happening both physically and mentally with the snowboarders on their runs.
Recently the Push Snowboarding team visited the Burton US Open in Stratton Mountain – Vermont, and for the first time the public was given the opportunity to try out these kits for themselves. But, apart from the public trying the kits out, there were still plenty of pro-snowboarders wanting to try out the kits themselves, and they were given that opportunity. Here are three videos released by the Push Snowboarding team from the visit:
First up, we have the TTR World #1 snowboarder Peetu Piironen use the kit on the US Open Slopestyle Course.
Then Seppe Smits, TTR World #2, took the kit for a few spins on a freestyle run.
And 14-year-old Burton team rider Tim-Kevin Ravnjak hit the US Open half-pipe for his debut Push Snowboarding ride.
These runs also allowed for valuable data to be collected and will be available for all to download on the Push Snowboarding website. http://www.pushsnowboarding.com/tech/developer-centre/ soon. For more information on these kits and how they work, head over to http://www.pushsnowboarding.com/
