Nokia Beta Labs, earlier this morning, released the latest version of the Ovi – now Nokia – Store client, v3.6.030. This is a preview/beta of what to expect in the later to be released final version via a software update to all Symbian^3/Anna devices.

Written in qml, this version will replace the current Store client on your Symbian^3/Anna device, except the E6 as it is currently not supported, sorry guys. Nearly all of the features that are currently available on the official Store client (Web Runtime) are supported in this version, and before you rant, remember that it’s still in beta so other features like the app updates etc will be available in the final version soon. The download file is 18.8MB and can be downloaded via your devices browser or PC to be installed via USB connection. Apart from the new overhauled UI to fit in with the upcoming Symbian Belle, you will notice that it’s been renamed. Other new key features in this client include:

- Easier navigation
- Improved product details view, for a rich and fluid discovery experience
- Quicker, smoother and more responsive than WRT client

Here are a few screenshots of the client running on an E7/Anna:

Like all beta/review apps, Nokia Beta Labs is relying on your feedback so any improvements, bugs etc – remember to head over to their forum at http://betalabs.nokia.com/nodeforums

Compatible with the following devices: Nokia C6-01, C7-00, C7 Astound, E7-00, N8-00, X7-00, the client can be downloaded at http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/store-qml-client/
