Now that the dust has settled after Stephen Elop’s big announcement on the 11th February 2011, many have come to realise that actually Nokia’s move towards a new Ecosystem is not as bad as what they thought. I personally am quite excited with the thought of a new NokMsft device later on this year, just imagine this – Nokia’s world acclaimed premium hardware with the world’s best recognised software – Microsoft! WOW! – what a combination, and with what we are seeing in recent announcements by Microsoft – the WP OS is definitely shaping up to become a top contender and possibly overturn Apple’s iOS and Android OS’s pretty soon.

But what does all this mean for the Nokia Developers? When the proposed partnership with Microsoft was announced, many developers around the world doubted about their future. But having recently chatted to a number of workshop attendees on Nokia Developer Day that is this years Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, earlier this month, their views about the new ecosystem has taken a 180 degree turn and are now in support of the proposed partnership with a lot more enthusiasm, recognising the potential it will bring them in the coming months.

Let’s take a look at what a couple of these developers had to say, in an interview conducted with Nokia Forum during the Nokia Developer day.
