Despite Nokia’s decision to partner up with Microsoft and introduce a new ecosystem to the mobile industry, it was announced by Nokia’s CTO Rich Green at last months Mobile World Congress during his keynote speech at the Developer’s day workshop, that Nokia will still be launching a new MeeGo device this year. The Nokia N950 will be the long awaited successor to the N900. Strangely last year there were rumours already of a N950 device coming out and even some pictures appeared in some blogs. What was a rumour then is no longer, what remains is whether or not the N950 could look something like one of these two pictures? What do you think??

There is no confirmation as yet to what specs the MeeGo Smartphone will be launched with but it is once again RUMOURED that it will port a 1.2GHz processor possibly single-core or dual-core with 768MB RAM, a 12 megapixel camera and a 4.0 inche large full capacitive touch screen display. But like I said – pure speculation
That’s all we have on the Nokia N950 for now folks and apart from announcing it during his keynote speech, Green went on to give reassurances that Nokia will continue to be committed to the MeeGo, Symbian, Qt and S40 platforms and their future in Nokia’s three year ecosystem vision. After the break you can watch the 4 part video of Green’s keynote speech at the Mobile World Congress. It is pretty long so make your self comfortable. Don’t forget to comment in the comments section below with your thoughts on the N950 and the 3 year vision.
