Nokia Pure is Nokia’s new typeface that’s been created for them by their branding people and presented to the public last week. In comparison with the Helvetica and the old Nokia Sans font, not only is it cool – it’s simple. The letters flow into each other somewhat, creating the impression of forward movement.
This new font will be replacing the old Nokia Sans in future Nokia devices to be released in the coming months, and for those existing users will be included in future OTA updates – when exactly we are not sure.
Sucks, doesn’t it?? But don’t worry because there’s a very simple way of getting the new Pure Font onto your Symbian device right now in three easy steps.
The steps are the same for Symbian S60V3/5 and S^3 devices – just different folders to download so make sure you click on the correct download link for your device.
- Download the relevant Nokia Pure ZIP file for your device here: Symbian S60V3/5 or Symbian^3
- This step is important – Extract the relevant file onto your devices memory card or in the case of the Nokia E7 – onto the devices mass memory.
- Reboot your device and VOILA – you have the new Nokia Pure Font on your device
Here are a couple of screen shots of the new font on a Nokia N8, if you want to view before changing over from the old Sans font, but I am sure you will any way after you see just how cool it is

Pretty Cool , isn’t it?
